OK, let me just get it out there-Lord of the Rings is awesome!!! So, the Fellowship of the Ring sets up the rest of the story. It is the base for the other two movies. The music is amazing. So amazing that I have it on my iPod and I actually listen to it. The special effects are great as well. They have to be to make the hobbits look shorter without actually hiring short people. It may be long, but it is well worth the wait, with humor and battles, hunky elves and cute hobbits. It may be confusing, so you either have to pay attention or watch it with someone who's seen it.
Set in the Shire of Middle Earth, a hobbit by the name of Frodo Baggins comes across the One Ring, a ring of dark powers. Along with his friends, Sam, Merry, and Pippin, he must go to Rivendell, home of the elves, to meet up with Gandalf the Grey, a wizard, to decide the fate of the One Ring. He sets off with his hobbit friends, Legolas the elf, Gimli the dwarf, Gandalf, and Aragorn and Boromir, the men, to Mordor, the only place the Ring can be destroyed. Will they destroy the Ring and rid Middle Earth of evil, or will it fall into the hands of Sauron, the Ring's creator, causing the world to fall into darkness?
